Kolkata Port is India’s only riverine port with two dock systems – Kolkata Dock System at Kolkata with the oil wharves at Baj Baj and a deep water dock system at Haldia Dock Complex, Haldia for sea borne trade. It has the most sophisticated port facilities with extensive storage facility for diverse cargo. With a modern computerised container terminal, Kolkata port offers a very customer friendly approach. Engagement of Trainee Pilots on contract basis at Kolkata Dock system for which applications are invited from candidates in possession of any of the certificate of competencies issued by the Director General of Shipping, Government of India.

Essential Qualification & Experience : Master (FG)/Dredge Master-Grade-I, Grade-II,and Grade-1, B. Sc. Nautical Sciencen / Dredge Mate-Grade 1.
Scale of Pay : Rs. 14500-350-18700/- per month.
Age Limit : Not exceeding 45 years as on 1.8.2010.
