Kannur University, KU, Applications are invited from eligible candidates for the appointment to the following Teaching Posts in the Teaching Departments, of Kannur University .

1. Reader :
No of Post : 02 posts,
Essential Qualification & Experience : Good academic record with a Doctoral degree or equivalent published work. In addition to this, candidates who joined from outside the University system shall also possess at least 55% of the marks or an equivalent grade of B in the seven point scale latter grades O, A, B, C, D, E and F at masters degree level. Must have 5 years of experience of teaching and /or research excluding the period spent for obtaining the research degrees and has made some mark in the areas of scholarship as evidenced by quality of publications, contribution to educational innovation, design of new courses and curricula.
Scale of Pay : As per UGC norms.
Age Limit : Between 35 and 45 years as on 01.01.2010.

2. Lecturer :
No of Post : 02 posts,
Essential Qualification & Experience : Good academic record with at least 55% of the marks or an equivalent grade of B in the seven point scale with latter grades O, A, B, C, D, E and F at masters degree level, in the relevant subject from an Indian University, or an equivalent degree from a foreign University approved by AIU. The Candidate should have cleared the National Eligibility Test (N.E.T) conducted by the U.G.C, C.S.I.R or similar test accredited by the U.G.C. (Note: Candidates having Ph.D degree in the subject concerned are exempted from N.E.T),
Scale of Pay : As per UGC norms.
Age Limit : Below 40 years as on 01.01.2010.

Fees : Chalan receipt for Rs. 600/- (cost of application Rs. 100 + Registration fee Rs. 500 Head of account for the remittance is 8658-00-102-96 (27) KUS in Government Treasuries. Applicants residing out side Kerala, may send DD in favour of the Finance Officer, Kannur University payable at SBT Kannur University Campus Branch, Mangattuparamba.
