Vikram Sarabhai Space Centre, VSSC, is the lead Centre for development of satellite launch vehicles and associated technologies. The Centre pursues active research and development in a host of distinct technology domains like aeronautics, avionics, composites, etc with a view to achieve self-reliance in the high tech realm of launch vehicle technology.

ISRO Centres :
Apart from VSSC, ISRO Satellite Centre (SAC) at Bangalore, Satish Dhawan Space Centre (SDSC) at Sriharikota near Chennai, Liquid Propulsion Systems Centre (LPSC) at Valiamala, Mahendagiri and Bangalore and Space Application Centre (SAC) at Ahmedabad are the other major ISRO Centres.

Scientist / Engineer SC :
No of Post : 15 posts as per Qualification.
Essential Qualification :
1. 05 posts - ME/ M.Tech. or equivalent in Aeronautic/ Aerospace/ Mechanical Engineering with specialisation in Thermal Sciences with 60% marks or 6.5 on a 10 point scale.
2. 02 posts - ME/ M.Tech. or equivalent in Industrial Safety Engineering with 60% marks or 6.5 on a 10 point scale
3. 01 post - ME/ M.Tech. or equivalent in Electrochemical Engineering with 60% marks or 6.5 on a 10 point scale
4. 06 posts - BE/B.Tech. or equivalent in Metallurgy Engineering with 65% marks.
5. 01 post - BE/B.Tech. or equivalent in Automobile Engineering with 65% marks.
Scale of Pay : Pay Band : Rs. 15600 to 39100 Grade Pay Rs. 5400/- per month.
