Indian Coast Guard, The new ICG station is functioning under the operational command of the Commander Coast Guard Region (West). Commandant (JG) Anil Sharma is appointed as the Commanding Officer of ICGS Karwar. The station has two high speed patrol boats to undertake search and rescue operations, close coast patrol and respond to emergency calls.
