Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission, TNPSC, Applications are invited upto 5.45 p.m on 19-03-2010 for direct recruitment to the vacancies in the following post :
1. School Assistant ( English) :
No of Post : 01 post,
Essential Qualification & Experience : A Degree in Arts with English Literature as the main subject and B.T or B.Ed., Degree of a University in the State of Tamil Nadu.
Scale of Pay : Rs. 9300 to 34800 (PB2) + 4400/- Grade Pay.
Age Limit : Should not have completed 35 years as on 01.07.2010.
2. School Assistant ( Mathematics) :
No of Post : 01 post,
Essential Qualification & Experience : A Degree in Arts or Science with Mathematics as the Main subject and B.T. or B.Ed. Degree of a University in the State of Tamil Nadu.
Scale of Pay : Rs. 9300 to 34800 (PB2) + 4400/- Grade Pay.
Age Limit : Should not have completed 35 years as on 01.07.2010.
3. School Assistant ( Science) :
No of Post : 01 post,
Essential Qualification & Experience : A Degree in Science and B.T or B.Ed Degree of a University in the State of Tamil Nadu.
Scale of Pay : Rs. 9300 to 34800 (PB2) + 4400/- Grade Pay.
Age Limit : Should not have completed 35 years as on 01.07.2010.
4. Tamil Pandit Grade-I :
No of Post : 01 post,
Essential Qualification & Experience : (a) (i) A degree in Tamil and a (ii) B.T. or B.Ed. degree of a University in the State of Tamil Nadu or (b) (i) Minimum General Educational Qualification and (ii) A Title of Oriental learning in Tamil conferred by any University in the State of Tamil Nadu and (iii)A trained teachers certificate of the Secondary Grade or a senior basic Grade Teachers Training Certificate or successful completion of the Pandit Training course or Diploma in Teaching of any University in the State of Tamil Nadu.
Scale of Pay : Rs. 9300 to 34800 (PB2) + 4400/- Grade Pay.
Age Limit : Should not have completed 35 years as on 01.07.2010.
5. School Assistant (Home Science) in the Social Welfare Department :
No of Post : 02 posts,
Essential Qualification & Experience : A degree in Tamil and B.T. or B.Ed. degree of a University in the State of Tamil Nadu
Scale of Pay : Rs. 9300 to 34800 (PB2) + 4400/- Grade Pay.
Age Limit : Minimum age limit – Should have completed 18 years as on 01.07.2010.
6. School Assistant (Home Science) in the Social Welfare Department :
No of Post : 02 posts,
Essential Qualification & Experience : (i) A Degree in Home science of any University in the State of Tamil Nadu And (ii) A B.T or B.Ed degree of any University in the State of Tamil Nadu And (iii) Must have studied Tamil in the S.S.L.C / Higher Secondary.
Scale of Pay : Rs. 5200 to 20200 (PB1) + 2,800/- Grade Pay.
Age Limit : Should have completed 20 years as on 01.07.2010.

The facility of applying Online will be closed on 17-03-2010 at 5.45.p.m, Filled in applications must be sent to the Controller of Examinations, Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission, Commercial Taxes Annexe Building, Greams Road, Chennai – 600006 well in advance so as to reach the Commission’s Office before 5.45 p.m. on 19-03-2010.
Fees : Candidates can avail of the facility of applying Online on the Commission’s Website at www.tnpsc.gov.in Candidates applying Online should possess and keep ready Postal receipt for Rs. 130/- (i.e. Application fee Rs. 30/- and Examination fee Rs. 100/-) obtained from any one of the Head Post Offices / selected Sub- Post Offices.
Last Date of Application Submission : Online will be closed on 17-03-2010 at 5.45.p.m. & Normal before 5.45 p.m. on 19-03-2010.
