Gautam Buddha University, GBU, is being developed as a University of Excellence to impart postgraduate level education in the fields of Management, Information Technology, Biotechnology, Humanities & Social Sciences, Engineering & Applied Sciences, Law& Buddhist Studies. The University has a fully residential campus spread over 511acres of lush green area with all modern infrastructures to meet academic and extra curricular needs. GBU, Situated at Greater Noida, GBU is sponsored by the New Okhla Industrial Development Authority (NOIDA) and the Greater Noida Industrial Development Authority (GNIDA) and is supported by Government of Uttar Pradesh. Faculty positions at various levles :
A. School of Engineering & Applied Sciences – Civil Engineering/ Mechanical Engineering/ Electrical Engineering.
B. School of Information Technology – Computer Engineering/ Electronics Engineering.
1. Professor : Minimum 10 years Teaching / Research / Industrial experience of which at least 5 years should be at the level of Associate Professor/Assistant Professor or equivalent.
Scale of Pay : Rs. 37400 to 67000 with AGP of Rs. 10500/-,
2. Associate Professor : Minimum 8 years Teaching / Research / Industrial experience of which at least 3 years should be at the level of Assistant Professor or equivalent.
Scale of Pay : Rs. 37400 to 67000 with AGP of Rs. 9500/-,
3. Assistant Professor : At least 03 years Teaching / Research / Industrial experience,
Scale of Pay : Rs. 15600 to 39100 with AGP of Rs. 8000/-,
4. Research/ Faculty Associate : Post Graduate with 55% marks for Gen/OBC and 50% marks for SC/ST candidates, in relevant discipline. Also 01 years Research/Industry/ Teaching experience at appropriate level.
Scale of Pay : Rs. 33000 to 35000/- Consolidated pay.
Essential Qualification : Professor/Associate Professor/Assistant Professor: Ph.D. with first class or equivalent in the appropriate branch with a very good academic record throughout. An outstanding professional, working in industry with established reputation and having made significant contribution to knowledge but not having a Ph.D. degree, could also be considered in exceptional case. Research Associate: Postgraduate degree in relevant discipline with minimum 55% marks for General/OBC and 50% marks for SC/ST candidates.
Note : The qualification and experience prescribed above are the minimum and mere possession of the same shall not entitle any candidate to be called for interview. The number of post at each level are not fixed as flexible staff structure is adopted in the University.
