Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission, TNPSC, Applications are invited upto 5.45 p.m on 19-03-2010 for direct recruitment to the vacancies in the following posts.

1. Assistant Geologist in Mining Department :
No of Post : 04 post,
Essential Qualification & Experience : A Degree of M.Sc in Geology of any University or Institution recognised by the University Grants Commission for the purpose of its grant.
Scale of Pay : Rs. 9,300 to 34,800 (PB2) + 4,700/- Grade Pay.
Age Limit : Minimum age limit 18 years and maximum 35 years as on 01.07.2010.

2. Assistant Geologist in Groundwater wing in Public Works Department :
No of Post : 04 post, (Backlog vacancies for SC/ST),
Essential Qualification & Experience : A degree of M.Sc in Geology of any University or Institution recognised by the University Grants Commission for the purpose of its grant.
Scale of Pay : Rs. 9,300 to 34,800 (PB2) + 4,700/- Grade Pay.
Age Limit : Minimum age limit 18 years and maximum 35 years as on 01.07.2010.

3. Assistant Geologist in Industries and Commerce Department :
No of Post : 01 post,
Essential Qualification & Experience : A degree of M.Sc in Geology of any University or Institution recognised by the University Grants Commission for the purpose of its grant.
Scale of Pay : Rs. 9,300 to 34,800 (PB2) + 4,700/- Grade Pay.
Age Limit : Minimum age limit 18 years and maximum 35 years as on 01.07.2010.

4. Junior Chemist in Industries and Commerce Department :
No of Post : 03 posts,
Essential Qualification & Experience : A First or Second Class Post – Graduate Degree in any Branch of Chemistry of any University or Institution recognised by the University Grants Commission for the
purpose of its grants.
Scale of Pay : Rs. 9,300 to 34,800 (PB2) + 4,700/- Grade Pay.
Age Limit : Minimum age limit 18 years and maximum 35 years as on 01.07.2010.

5. Assistant Tester in Industries and Commerce Department :
No of Post : 01 post,
Essential Qualification & Experience : A First or Second Class Post – Graduate Degree in any Branch of Chemistry of any University or Institution recognised by the University Grants Commission for the
purpose of its grants.
Scale of Pay : Rs. 9,300 to 34,800 (PB2) + 4,400/- Grade Pay.
Age Limit : Minimum age limit is 35 years as on 01.07.2010.

6. Instructor in the Institute of Ceramic Technology, Vridhachalam :
No of Post : 03 posts,
Essential Qualification & Experience : A Degree or Diploma in Electrical Engineering or Electronics Engineering of any University or Institution Recognised by the University Grants Commission for the
purpose of its grant or any of the Recognised Institution or Board.
Scale of Pay : Rs. 9,300 to 34,800 (PB2) + 4,400/- Grade Pay.
Age Limit : Minimum age limit is 45 years as on 01.07.2010.
