National Institute of Technology, NIT, Applications are invited from qualified Indian Nationals, who are exceptionally bright and motivated with a commitment to teaching, established record of independent high quality research, and an inclination towards institutional development for the 8 faculty posts at the levels of Professor, Associate Professor and Assistant Professor in various disciplines. Applications are also invited from qualified and experienced professionals for 9 non-faculty posts of Registrar, Assistant Registrar, Resident Engineer, Superintendant / Accountant, Stenographer, Technician and Junior Assistant :
A. FACULTY POSTS :
1. Professor :
No of Post : 01 post,
Essential Qualification & Experience : Ph.D Degree (with first class Degree at Bachelors or Masters level) in appropriate discipline. At least five years of teaching / research experience at the level of Associate Professor with 8 years experience of teaching with AGP of Rs. 8000/- and experience of guiding research at Ph.D level.
Scale of Pay : PB-4 RS. 37400 to 67000 + AGP RS. 10000/- per month.
2. Associate Professor :
No of Post : 02 posts,
Essential Qualification & Experience : Ph.D Degree (with first class Degree at Bachelors or Masters level) in appropriate discipline. At least five years of teaching / research experience at the level of Associate Professor with 03 years experience of teaching with AGP of Rs. 8000/- and experience of guiding research at Ph.D level.
Scale of Pay : PB-4 RS. 37400 to 67000 + AGP RS. 9000/- per month.
3. Assistant Professor :
No of Post : 05 posts,
Essential Qualification & Experience : Ph.D Degree (with first class Degree at Bachelors or Masters level) in appropriate discipline.
B. NON FACULTY POSTS :
1. Registrar :
No of Post : 01 post,
Essential Qualification & Experience : Masters Degree with at least 55% marks or its equivalent grade of B in the UGC seven point scale ii) At least 15 years of experience as Lecturer.
Scale of Pay : PB-4 RS. 37400 to 67000 + AGP RS. 10000/- per month.
Age Limit : Below 56 years (relaxation in age as per the policy of Govt. of India).
2. Resident Engineer :
No of Post : 01 post,
Essential Qualification & Experience : First class B.E. / B. Tech degree in Civil Engineering with at least 8 years’ experience in Government or reputed private organizations.
Scale of Pay : PB-3 Grade pay of Rs. 6600/- per month.
Age Limit : Below 45 years (relaxation in age as per the policy of Govt. of India).
3. Assistant Registrar :
No of Post : 01 post,
Essential Qualification & Experience : First class B.E. / B. Tech degree in Civil Engineering with at least 8 years’ experience in Government or reputed private organizations.
Scale of Pay : PB-2 Grade pay of Rs. 5400/- per month.
Age Limit : Below 32 years (relaxation in age as per the policy of Govt. of India).
4. Superintendent / Accountant :
No of Post : 01 post,
Essential Qualification & Experience : First Class Bachelor Degree with 2 years experience in Office Management. For the post of Accountant a B.Com (Honours) Degree is essential (Accountancy as a special subject or a Chartered or Cost Accounts Degree.
Scale of Pay : PB-2 Grade pay of Rs. 4200/- per month.
Age Limit : Below 32 years (relaxation in age as per the policy of Govt. of India).
5. Stenographer :
No of Post : 01 post,
Essential Qualification & Experience : Bachelors Degree with minimum speed in short hand 80wpm and minimum typing speed of 40wpm. Proficiency in Computer/Word Processing with advanced skills is essential.
Scale of Pay : PB-1 Grade pay of Rs. 4200/- per month.
Age Limit : Below 32 years (relaxation in age as per the policy of Govt. of India).
6. Technicians :
No of Post : 02 posts,
Essential Qualification & Experience : Diploma in engineering of 3 years duration in appropriate field or B.Sc. Degree in appropriate field or Senior Secondary (10+2) and ITI course of 1 year or higher duration in appropriate trade or metric with at least 50% marks plus ITI certificate of 2 years duration in appropriate trade.
Scale of Pay : PB-1 Grade pay of Rs. 2000/- per month.
Age Limit : Below 28 years (relaxation in age as per the policy of Govt. of India).
7. Junior Assistant :
No of Post : 02 posts,
Essential Qualification & Experience : Bachelor Degree with a minimum typing speed of 40 wpm and proficiency in Computer / Word Processing.
Scale of Pay : PB-1 Grade pay of Rs. 2000/- per month.
Age Limit : Below 28 years (relaxation in age as per the policy of Govt. of India).
