Film and Television Institute of India (FTII) has truly lived up to its avowed objective in the field of imparting training in film making and television programme production. Today the FTII is considered as a Center of Excellence not only in India but also in Asia and Europe. Films made by the students of the Institute are entered in festivals both in India and abroad. Many of them have own National and International awards. The alumni of the FTII have penetrated all corners of the Indian Film and Television industry and have excelled in all its fields. The FTII is an autonomous body under the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting of the Government of India. Its policies are determined by a Governing Council. The latter appoints the director of the institute. The current director of the institute is Mr. Pankaj Rag (IAS). The FTII is a member of CILECT an international association of film schools. 1. Professor Sound Engineering :
No of Post : 01 post,
Scale of Pay : (PB-3) Rs. 15600 to 39100 + Rs. 6600/- GP per month.
Age Limit : Not to exceeding 40 years.
Essential Qualification & Experience : i) Degree of a recognized University. ii) Degree or Diploma or equivalent in Sound Recording and Sound Engineering from a recognized University or Institution. iii) At least 6 years’ professional experience including teaching in the field of Sound Recording and/or Sound Engineering in an organization or institution of repute. OR i) Master’s Degree of a recognized University. ii) At least 8 years’ professional experience including teaching in Sound Recording and Sound Engineering in an organisation or institution of repute.
2. Assistant Professor TV Graphics :

Scale of Pay : (PB-3) Rs. 15600 to 39100 + Rs. 6600/- GP per month.
Age Limit : Not to exceeding 35 years.
Essential Qualification & Experience : i) Degree of a recognized University. ii) Degree or Diploma or equivalent in Fine Arts from a recognized University or Institution or equivalent
iii) At least 4 years’ professional experience including teaching of Graphics / Animation in a responsible capacity in an organization or institution connected with Film/TV Graphics or Training. or i) Master’s Degree of a recognized University. ii) At least 6 years’ professional experience including teaching of Graphics / Animation in a responsible capacity in an organization or institution connected with Film/TV Graphics or Training.
3. Lecturer TV Graphics :

5. Lecturer Sound Engineering :

Scale of Pay : (PB-3) Rs. 15600 to 39100 + Rs. 5400/- GP per month.

Essential Qualification & Experience : i) Degree of a recognized University. ii) Degree or Diploma or equivalent in Sound Engineering from a recognized University or Institute. iii) At least 2 years’ professional experience including teaching in Sound Recording / Sound Engineering in an organization or institution of repute engaged in Film/TV Production or training.
6. Librarian (Books) :
No of Post : 01 post,
Scale of Pay : (PB-2) Rs. 9300 to 34800 + Rs. 4200/- GP per month.
Age Limit : Not to exceeding 30 years.
Essential Qualification & Experience : i) Matriculation of a recognized University or equivalent
ii) Diploma or certificate in Library Science from a recognized University or Institution. iii) At least 3 years’ experience of working in a Book Library.
7. Assistant Security Officer
No of Post : 01 post,
Scale of Pay : (PB-2) Rs. 9300 to 34800 + Rs. 4200/- GP per month.
Age Limit : Not to exceeding 50 years.
Essential Qualification & Experience : i) Minimum S.S.C. or equivalent. ii) Should have served not below the rank of JCO or equivalent rank for not less than 5 years, or an Ex-Police Officer in the rank not below P.S.I. The following in-service categories will also be eligible to apply for the post in open selection. Caretaker / Caretaker-cum-Receptionist / Upper Division Clerk / Storekeeper with at least 5 years’ regular service in that grade and Costume Property Caretaker / Sr. Stenographer / Accountant with 3 years regular service in that grade. Qualifications prescribed will not apply to such candidates.
8. Demonstrator (Sound Recording) :

Scale of Pay : (PB-1) Rs. 5200 to 20200 + Rs. 2400/- GP per month.
Age Limit : Not to exceeding 30 years.
Essential Qualification & Experience : (A) Diploma in Sound Recording & Sound Engineering from a recognized Institute, preferably from the Film & TV Institute of India or equivalent.
(B) Desirable: 1. One year experience in Sound Recording either in an independent capacity or at first assistant level. 2. One year experience of repair, servicing and maintenance of electrical or electronic equipment in a Film Studio, Radio Manufacturing or Marketing organization of repute.
9. Laboratory Technician :
No of Post : 01 post,
Scale of Pay : (PB-1) Rs. 5200 to 20200 + Rs. 2400/- GP per month.
Age Limit : Not to exceeding 25 years.
Essential Qualification & Experience : i) Matriculation or equivalent of a recognized University or Board. ii) At least 3 years’ experience of film processing work in a Motion Picture Film Processing Laboratory of repute handling work of threading and operating processing machines and compounding of chemicals.
