Central University of Punjab, CUP, The Central University of Punjab, Bathinda (Punjab) has been established through the Central Universities Act 2009 which received the assent of the President of India on 20th March 2009. Its territorial jurisdiction extends to the whole State of Punjab. The University would carve out and maintain its national character and global outreach through its instructional and research programmes. 1. Professor :
No of Post : 04 posts, Environment and Earth Studies-01 (Environment Science and Technology), Social

Sciences and Humanities-01 (Comparative Literature), Basic and Applied Sciences-01 (Biosciences), Global Relations-01 (South & Central Asian Studies).
Essential Qualification & Experience : Ph.D. qualification and published work of high quality, actively engaged in research, with evidence of high quality publish work with a minimum of 10 publications as books and/or research/policy papers in indexed / ISBN/ISSN numbered journals and as ISBN/ISSN numbered books. A minimum of 12 years of teaching experience in university/college, and/or experience in research at the University/National Level Institutions, including experience of guiding candidates for research at doctoral level.
Scale of Pay : RS. Pay Band 37000 to 67000 with AGP of RS. 10,000/-,

2. Associate Professor :
No of Post : 08 posts, Environment and Earth Studies-02 (Environment Science and Technology), Social Sciences and Humanities-02 (Comparative Literature), Basic and Applied Sciences-02 (Biosciences), Global Relations-02 (South & Central Asian Studies).
Essential Qualification & Experience : Ph.D. degree in the concerned or allied disciplines. 55% of the marks, or equivalent grade wherever grading system is followed at the Master’s degree level.
Scale of Pay : RS. Pay Band 37000 to 67000 with AGP of RS. 9,000/-,

3. Assistant Professor :
No of Post : 08 posts, Environment and Earth Studies-02 (Environment Science and Technology), Social Sciences and Humanities-02 (Comparative Literature), Basic and Applied Sciences-02 (Biosciences), Global Relations-02 (South & Central Asian Studies).
Essential Qualification & Experience : Master’s degree level, in the relevant subject from an Indian University , or an equivalent degree from an accredited foreign university. Good academic record with at least 55% of the marks or, an equivalent grade where grading system.
Scale of Pay : RS.
