Directorate of Rice Research under Indian Council of Agricultural Research) has announced Advertisement No.01/2011 & Applications are invited from the eligible candidates for recruitment of temporary Technical and Administrative posts at Directorate of Rice Research, Hyderabad as per details given below

1. T6(Communication Specialist) Press & Editorial Staff -01(UR)

Educational qualification

Essential: Master’s degree in Agriculture or any branch of science/social science relevant to agriculture or equivalent qualification from a recognized University with five years experience of science writing and science journalism in the concerned language as evidenced by published material

Desirable: Experience in a research organization, proficiency in computer operations, preparing and editing technical reports/documents and correspondence , project file management.

2. T3(Technical Assistant) Field/Farm Technician -01(UR) 03(OBC)
Educational qualification

Essential: Bachelor’s Degree in Agriculture or any other branch of Science relevant to agriculture or equivalent qualification from a recognized university.
Desirable: Experience of assisting research in laboratory and field.

3. T3(Computer) (Laboratory Technician) -01(UR)

Educational qualification

Essential: Bachelor’s Degree in Mathematics/Statistics/ Computers or equivalent qualification from a recognized university.
Desirable: 1 – 3 years experience in statistical data analysis(preferably in agriculture) / computer programming, familiarity with statistical packages.

4. T3(Technical Assistant) Laboratory Technician -01(UR)
Educational qualification

Essential: Bachelor’s Degree in Agriculture or any other branch of Science relevant to agriculture or equivalent qualification from a recognized university.

Desirable: Experience in Laboratory chemical analysis with knowledge on instrumentation.

5. T1(Field Technician) Field/Farm Technician -01(UR) 01(OBC)
Educational qualification

Essential: Matriculation with at least one year certificate in Agriculture from a recognized institution
Desirable: Experience in field operations

6. Stenographer Gr.III -01(UR) 01(OBC)

Educational qualification

12th Class pass or equivalent from a recognized Board or University

Professional efficiency The candidates will be given one dictation test in English or in Hindi at 80 w.p.m. for 10 minutes. The candidates who opt to take the test in English will be required to transcribe the matter in 50 minutes on computer and the candidates who opt to take the test in Hindi will be required to transcribe the matter in 65 minutes on computer.
Desirable: Familiarity in use of Computer, typing in Hindi also

Age Limit:

For the posts mentioned at Sl.No.1 the age should be between 18-35 years, for Sl.Nos.2 to 5 between 18-30 years and for Sl.No.6 the age should be between 18-27 years.

For the posts mentioned at Sl.No.1, PB-3, Rs.15600-39100 + Rs.5400/-(GP)
For the post mentioned at Sl.No.2 to 4 , PB-1, Rs.5200-20200 +Rs.2800/-(GP)
For the posts mentioned at Sl.No.5, PB-1, Rs.5200-20200 + Rs.2000/-(GP)
For the post mentioned at Sl.No.6, PB-1, Rs.5200-20200 + Rs.2400/- (GP)
