Applications are invited from Indian Citizens for appointment to Group ‘A’ post of Specialist Medical Officers (Deputy Commandant) and Medical Officers (Assistant Commandant) in Central Police Forces (BSF, CRPF, ITBP, SSB and Assam Rifles), Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India. On joining, a candidate shall be governed by the Act and
Rules, as applicable to the organization to which he/she is allotted after selection and as amended from time to time. Selected candidates will be liable to serve anywhere in Union of India or outside.

Deputy Commandant (Specialist Medical Officer)

: 259 posts in various CPOs (CRPF-145, BSF-67, ITBP-19, Assam Rifles – 7, SSB-21) in various Specilities
Essential Qualification & Experience: (a) A recognized medical qualification of allopathic system of medicine included in the first or second schedule of Part–II of the third schedule (other than licentiate qualification) to the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956. Read more at the resource below
Scale of Pay: Rs.15,600 – 39,100/- plus Grade pay Rs.6,600/- per month plus other benefits like Non Practicing Allowance, Dearness Allowances, Transport Allowance, House Rent Allowance and any other allowances
Age Limit: The age limit for recruitment of Specialist Medical Officers (Deputy Commandant) shall not exceed 35 years as on the last date of receipt of application i.e. 15th Jan., 2010.

Medical Officers (Assistant Commandant)
No of Post: 283 posts in various CPOs (CRPF-4, BSF-62, ITBP-131, Assam Rifles – 56, SSB-30) in various Specilities
Essential Qualification & Experience: A recognized medical qualification of allopathic system of medicine included in the first or second schedule of Part–II of the third schedule (other than licentiate qualification) to the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956. Read more at the resource below
Scale of Pay: Rs.15,600 – 39,100/- plus Grade pay Rs.5,400/- per month plus other benefits like Non Practicing Allowance, Dearness Allowance, Transport Allowance, House Rent Allowance and any other allowances
Age Limit: The age limit for recruitment of Medical Officer (Assistant Commandant) shall not exceed 30 years as on the last date of receipt of application i.e. 15th Jan., 2010.
